PDO tensor threads (Polydioxanone)

Tensor threads have been used for years. Today we have a range of products that are remarkable for their tolerance and effectiveness. In our medical centers, we use the Silhouette Soft product line and PDO tensor threads.

Made of PDO (Polydioxanone), a highly safe material used in cardiac surgery that acts by promoting cell cohesion, these are sterile threads that can be resorbed in approximately 6 to 8 months. The tensor effect and durability depend on the type and size of the thread.

The effect of these products is a discreet and natural rejuvenation of the face, associated with a regenerating effect thanks to a stimulation of the collagen tissue. The PDO sutures provoke an inflammatory reaction in the tissues and lead to the formation of collagen and elastin, the acceleration of microcirculation and the regeneration of cells.

It is therefore with our own "skin" that we rejuvenate. On the slackened zones, the production of new tissue allows a very soft "lift effect".

Advantages of PDO tensor threads

The principle of tensor threads

The tensor thread method is a safe, non-surgical rejuvenation technique that allows the tissues to be enhanced and the volumes of the face to be repositioned, without the need for a scalpel, without scars, and with lasting results. This technique makes it possible to perform a mini non-surgical facelift, an intermediary between injections and cosmetic surgery.

The tensor thread technique consists of positioning a system of threads in the subcutaneous cellular tissue. They will allow the tissues to be re-tensioned, reducing sagging and associated wrinkles. In a second step, the threads will stimulate the production of collagen. The result is a tightening of the tissues and a discreet reduction in skin slackening. As the thread does not touch the facial muscles, there is no risk of modifying the expression.
